2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid has launched in India at Rs 36.95 lakhs(ex-showroom, India).The new gen-Camry Hybrid built on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform with improved vehicle dynamics,fuel efficiency and has allowed for a lower centre of gravity.
New Camry comes with only a hybrid powertrain unlike its prevoius gen camry with slim headlamps,stylish V-shaped housing for Toyota badge to the bumper.It has auto guide control that gets automatically activated in Eco mode.
The new Camry is powered by a 2.5 litre, dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine which delivers a max power of 178 hp at 5,700 rpm and max torque of 221 Nm at 3,600-5,200 rpm and gets a fuel efficiency of 23.27 kmpl.The engine is mated to a 6-speed CVT transmission.
Camry features include 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power-reclining rear seats, powered sunshades with controls in the rear centre armrest, powered and ventilated front seats with a memory function for the driver’s seat, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, a reverse camera and a head-up display.
In terms of safety, you have the usual trimmings which are ABS with EBD,with 10 airbags as standard,Isofix child seat anchor points,Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, Traction Control System, and Park Assist with rear camera and sonar sensor.It comes in 7 colour options – Red Mica, Phantom Brown, Burning Black, Attitude Black, Pearl White, Silver, and Graphite.
