Benelli has launched the Leoncino 500 in India at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi). It is the second new model from the Benelli brand under new management after the TRK 502 ADV range was launched earlier this year. Internationally, the Leoncino 500 is available in three variants – the Standard, the Trail and the Sport.India only gets the Standard variant, which has been made available in two colour schemes – Steel Grey and Leoncino Red.
Leoncino 500 gets a 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected twin-cylinder motor that develops 47.5hp and 46Nm of torque within a tubular steel-trellis frame that’s suspended on a 50mm USD fork and pre-load adjustable monoshock. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,460 mm along with a ground clearance of 145 mm with a 320mm twin-disc setup at the front, and a 260mm disc at the rear.
The features includes a digital dash with an analogue tachometer and digital speedometer with readings for fuel gauge, clock, mileage and trip and gear position indicator. The bike gets a round LED headlamp with a projector lens in which dual-channel ABS is offered as standard and can be switched off as well.
