MG Motor India has today launched its much-awaited electric SUV, the MG Windsor EV, price starting from Rs 9.99 lakh(ex-showroom). While the battery is available on rental basis with Battery as a Service(BaaS) where buyers pay a nominal fee for the kms driven, which is Rs 3.5 per km.
The Windsor EV is powered by a 38 kWh LFP battery pack that gives it a claimed range of 331 km on a single charge, while the motor produces 136 hp and 200 Nm torque. The car can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 55 minutes using a 45kw fast charger. The Windsor also gets a 4 driving modes – Eco+, Eco, Normal and Sport.
The Windsor boasts a AeroGlide design for grand experience with flush door handles, R18 alloy wheels, full width LED light bars at both ends, LED headlamps and a illuminated front MG logo.
Windsor EV interiors comes with black theme with ambient lighting and copper highlights, with a host of features, including a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a infinite view glass roof, wireless Android Auto and Apple Play connectivity, MG app store powered by Jio, wireless charging, rear AC vents, powered driver seats and ventilated front seats.
The safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, all 4 disc brakes, parking brake with auto hold, front rear parking sensors and 360° Surround View Cameras.
MG Motor is offering a lifetime battery warranty with unlimited kms for the first time buyers of the MG Windsor EV. The car is available in 3 trim levels – Excite, Exclusive, Essence and 4 color options.
