BMW Motorrad has launched the CE 02 electric scooter in India, priced at Rs 4.50 lakh(ex-showroom). This new model is positioned as a unique offering that blends characteristics of both scooters and motorcycles.
The CE 02 is powered by an 15hp electric motor, delivering 55Nm of torque. It utilizes two air-cooled lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 3.9 kWh, enabling a claimed range of up to 108 kilometers on a single charge. The scooter can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 3 seconds and a top speed of 95 km/h.
The CE 02 gets a minimalist and futuristic design with a flat seat height of 745 mm, making it accessible for shorter riders. It weighs 142 kg and is built on a tubular steel double-loop frame. It comes equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT display, USB-C charging port, keyless ride, single-channel ABS, automatic stability control and recuperation stability control.
The CE 02 includes two standard riding modes, Flow and Surf, with an additional sportier mode called Flash available through the Highline package.
The CE 02 will be manufactured at TVS Motor Company’s facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Bookings have already commenced across India, with deliveries expected to start soon.
