Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the updated 2024 Jawa 42 in India with a starting price of Rs. 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a significant price reduction of Rs 17,000 compared to the previous model.
The new Jawa 42 boasts with several enhancements, including a refined 294.7cc liquid-cooled engine delivering 27bhp of power and 26.8Nm of torque, a revised chassis for improved handling and a host of design tweaks.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with a slip and assist clutch for smoother shifts. The motorcycle also benefits from improved NVH levels, thanks to a new counter-balance shaft and refined engine internals.
The motorcycle retains its iconic retro charm with a round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and classic lines. However, it gets subtle modern touches like LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and USB charging port.
Jawa offers the 42 in 14 color options, including six new shades. Buyers can choose between spoke and alloy wheels, as well as single-channel or dual-channel ABS, allowing for customization to suit individual preferences.
