Ampere Nexus electric scooter launched
The Ampere EV has launched the much-anticipated new electric scooter, the Nexus in India with price starts at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base EX variant, going up to Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec ST variant. This is Ampere’s first foray into the premium electric scooter segment, and the Nexus comes packed with features, a powerful motor and stylish design. The Nexus is available in four color options – Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey, and Indian Red.
The Ampere Nexus comes with a 3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery that offers a claimed maximum range of up to 136 Kms on a single charge. The top-of-the-line ST variant gets a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display for instrument cluster duties, while the EX variant gets a smaller 6.2-inch PMVA screen. Both variants get features like Bluetooth connectivity, 5 riding modes, OTA updates and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Ampere Nexus is powered by a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that produces a peak power of 5bhp. The claimed top speed is 93 kmph, and the scooter comes with fast charging capabilities that can replenish the battery from 0 to 100% in 3 .3 hrs*. For braking, the Nexus gets a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
Bookings for the Ampere Nexus electric scooter are open now with deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of May 2024.
