BMW Motorrad has entered the Indian electric scooter market with a bang, launching the CE 04 at a staggering Rs 14.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The CE 04 is not just the most expensive electric scooter in the country, it’s the most expensive electric two-wheeler altogether.
Despite the eye-watering price tag, The CE 04 promises premium performance with a liquid-cooled electric motor generating 41 hp and 62 Nm of torque. This translates to thrilling acceleration, taking the scooter from 0 to 50 km/h in a mere 2.6 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 120 kmph.
BMW CE 04 equips with an 8.5 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed maximum range of 130 Kms on a single charge. The scooter comes with a standard 2.3 kW charger, which can charge from 0 to 80% in 3 hrs 30 min and an optional faster 6.9 kW charger is available for those who need quicker turnaround times.
The CE 04 is loaded with premium features, including a 10.25-inch color TFT instrument console with built-in navigation and connectivity with three riding modes: Eco, Rain, and Road. Standard safety features include ABS, ASC (Automatic Stability Control). It features a bold, unconventional look with a flat seat and dual LED headlamps. While some may find it futuristic, others might find it unconventional.
The BMW CE 04 is available in two color schemes – Avantgarde Blue and Light White. The CE 04 is undoubtedly the most expensive electric scooter in the Indian market with premium offerings for those seeking a high-performance, feature-rich electric two-wheeler. Bookings are open now, with deliveries expected to begin from September 2024.
