The 9th-gen new Toyota Camry has officially launched in India, priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model features a significant upgrade in both design and technology compared to its predecessor, which was priced at Rs 46.17 lakh, marking an increase of Rs 1.83 lakh from the previous version.
The new Camry is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine, producing approximately 230 hp and paired with an eCVT gearbox with improved fuel efficiency rate of 25 kmpl. The exterior has undergone a major redesign, featuring a more aggressive front profile with a wide grille, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, and updated headlamps. The car also sports new multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels and redesigned LED taillights.
Inside, it boasts a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a nine-speaker JBL sound system. Additional comfort features include multi-zone climate control and heated rear seats. The Camry is equipped with an ADAS suite, enhancing safety with features such as multiple airbags, parking assist, and vehicle stability control.
The new Toyota Camry competes primarily with the Skoda Superb, which starts at ₹54 lakh, as well as luxury sedans like the Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, and BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine.
