Royal Enfield has launched its much-anticipated Guerrilla 450 in India, with a starting price of Rs 2.39 lakh(ex-showroom). This new roadster motorcycle is a significant departure from Royal Enfield’s usual design language, offering a bold and aggressive look.
The Guerrilla 450 is built on the ‘Sherpa 450’ platform and draws power from a 452cc, liquid-cooled single cylinder engine. This engine is capable of producing 40hp at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for a thrilling riding experience.
The Guerrilla 450 is comes with modern features, making it a compelling option for riders seeking a feature-rich bike. Here’s a quick look at some of the key features:
- Instrument cluster: Riders can choose between three variants – Analogue, Dash and Flash. Analogue and Dash variants get a semi-digital instrument cluster, while the top-line Flash variant gets a full TFT display with mobile connectivity.
- Lights: The Guerrilla 450 comes equipped with LED headlights and taillights for enhanced visibility on the road.
- Braking: Both wheels get disc brakes, with dual-channel ABS as an option for increased safety.
- Tyres: Guerrilla runs on CEAT tubeless tyres sized 120/70 R17 (front) and 160/60 R17 (rear).
The RE Guerrilla 450 is expected to compete with the likes of the KTM 390 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 400 in the Indian market, With its competitive pricing and features, the Guerrilla 450 is poised to be a strong contender in the mid-size motorcycle segment.
The Guerrilla 450 is available in three variants – Analogue, Dash, and Flash. The base Analogue variant starts at Rs 2.39 lakh(ex-showroom), while the mid-spec Dash variant is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh(ex-showroom). The top-end Flash variant carries a price tag of Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open in India, with deliveries commencing from August 1, 2024.
