Tata Altroz Racer sporty hatchback launched in India, with a starting price of Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Altroz Racer is the performance-oriented version of the popular hatchback and boasts a more powerful engine, sportier design elements, and a retuned suspension for a thrilling driving experience.
Key features of the Tata Altroz Racer:
- 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine producing 120 bhp and 170 Nm of torque (increased from 110 bhp and 140 Nm in the standard Altroz).
- Sharper front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheels and sportier rear spoiler for a more aggressive look.
- Stiffer suspension setup for improved handling around corners and during spirited driving.
- All-black interiors with red accents for a sporty feel.
- A comprehensive suite of safety features including ABS, airbags, and electronic stability control (ESC).
The Altroz Racer is available in three variants: R1, R2, and R3. The top-end R3 variant gets a 360-degree camera with a blind spot monitor, while the lower variants get all the essential features like a 10.25″ touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats and six airbags as standard. The car comes in three colour options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey.
The Altroz Racer is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of around 18 kmpl and competes with other performance hatchbacks such as the Hyundai i20 N Line.
